Both Nelson City and Tasman District Councils require an ongoing supply of plants for projects around their districts. One of Nelmac’s specialties is growing eco-sourced plants from seed. There are ongoing challenges with this, such as the seed being unavailable or not germinating. Nursery assistants have to be mindful when sourcing these special seeds because often they are scarce due to the time of year or poor weather.
